Who we are
Island of Hope Cyprus — solving the problem, not masking it.
We are an officially registered non-profit animal welfare organization based in Cyprus. We treat injured and sick street cats, sterilize street colonies systematically, care for cats with special needs, and prepare and coordinate international adoptions to EU countries. Our work is a continuous operational process — clinics, volunteers, logistics, documents and follow-up.

What we do
A shelter built as a system
The street cat problem in Cyprus has been forming for decades — but international experience shows clearly that it is solvable. Where sterilization is systematic, shelters work consistently and society is involved, the number of street animals falls sharply or disappears entirely. The key is long-term, regular support and cooperation.
Medical treatment
Care and surgery for injured and sick street cats, from emergencies to chronic conditions.
Systematic sterilization
Street colonies sterilized colony by colony — more than 50 cats every month.
Special-needs care
Cats who cannot survive outside stay with us for life, with the daily care they need.
International adoptions
Full preparation and coordination of adoptions to EU countries — documents, flights, follow-up.

How to help
€30,000 per month keeps the shelter running
That is the regular cost of our work: food, clinics, sterilization, documents and flights. Regular donations mean regular help for animals — care delivered as a system, not as a chain of emergencies. Finding regular and private corporate sponsors is one of our main goals.
Become a sponsor
Regular sponsors give us a stable base; corporate sponsors let us take on bigger missions. Here is exactly what monthly support covers.
€1,000 / month
Good food for about 70 cats.
€2,000 / month
Full sterilization of a colony of about 32 cats.
€5,000 / month
Half of all medical costs at the shelter.
Regular sponsors
A monthly contribution that keeps food, medicine and sterilization predictable.
Corporate sponsors
Private companies partnering on clinics, transport or colony programmes — visibly credited.
Give us visibility
Animal welfare problems stay unsolved when they stay invisible. Sharing our passports helps people grasp the real scale of the problem in Cyprus, helps animals find homes faster, and helps long-term sponsors discover an organisation they can trust.
